we were scared. we were also always cold.
Yesterday we filled up the tank. We have a large metal tank outside that supplies our monitor heater (supposedly very efficient) with kerosene.

The label is quite rusty but we think its marked 275 gallons. Our landlord had no idea how big it was. We were so sparse with the heat that the level was a little more than half way down

(not our tank. but close)
It was tense. We "worse-case scenario"ed it at $600.
Our grand total used: 77 gallons. $2.02 per gallon.
We officially beat a Maine winter.
