I get to work with the Public Housing Authority. Portland is a refugee city and 70% of the residents of public housing are from another country: Iran, Sudan, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Cambodia to name a few.
I get to help with after school learning centers, tenant meetings, soccer programs, foods banks, and programs for kids. Overall, helping build communities and connect residents to resources.
again, awesome.
I get to take an oath of service.
