For those of you who didn't know I was once very much into drama and acting...I proudly played the role of Chief Massasoit in our fourth grade Thanksgiving play. In sixth grade I hit my peak, staring in the lead role as the dramatic and depressed King Midas in our school play, and representing my middle school at the regional story telling contest. Those were the good 'ol days when everything I touched turned to gold. I had an inspiring drama class/teacher that helped me through all of it. I remember our field trip to Paris and seeing a performance there. I remember my teacher (I can't recall her name) working with me one on one to help me improve my performance so I could be competitive at the regional contest. Alas, out of 35 students I placed 6th or 7th, losing to The Stinky Cheese Man story...I still hate that book to this day.
That being said you can understand my excitement when I saw this trailer for a new movie. It reminded me of my opening line from that competition, where I growled out, "Where The Wild Things Are...by Maurice Sendak!" Enjoy the trailer, it looks like a neat film.
Gone are the days of the wild thing...Tonight I wish I was Max and had my wolf costume and could escape into the world of wild things. Pray for me this week, I need all the help I can get on upcoming exams.

I loved that book! I remember long before my bro Peter could read, he had the thing memorized and could sight-read the whole thing almost word for word.
