What type of person would these terrible words be describing?
Every once in ahwile you'd get a postitive comment like:
I want to echo this last sentiment. I'm so proud of Dane for the numerous hours he spent working on the Yes on 8 campaign. To put your career on hold so you can dedicate more time to the cause I think is very admirable. To put yourself out there to almost certainly endure such hateful comments (believe me when I say I only picked out the mildly offensive comments...I don't recommend you try to find the others) is courageous indeed.hey dane, friend of a friend here. i gotta say you're a bold guy for
posting this in the face of these internet cowards saying such awful things
about you when clearly they don't even know you. keep it up. i'll be voting
yes on prop 8.
Instead of spending hours a week as asked, he speant hours a day. It may be too soon to call this one as just 92% of precincts have reported, but it looks like Prop 8 will pass with a very narrow margin. It's people like Dane that made that happen.

Some people may think this little ode to Dane is just a ploy so he'll get me a better Christmas gift...
...well forget you! Dane didn't even draw my name for Christmas.
ha! I agree Dane. It has been, well, shocking to see some of the attacks. And personal attacks, very demeaning and very much beside the issue. So I too support you, I just read the WSJ reporting about 95% reporting and a 2% lead. This would be quite amazing.
Thank you Dane for all your hard work. You are a man of "Christian courage" as Elder Hales talked about in conference. We love you and are grateful that this passed!
Dane for President. How about it Dane. No really, you know how I feel about what you have done. I admire and respect you immensely for walking the walk an not just talking the talk. You showed what you believe with your precious time. That says it all. I love you so and am very proud of you. Go Prop 8!!! Alma 1:25
Way to go Dane and everyone else who felt the call and made this a success. You and all those involved are democracy in action and that is one of the beautiful things about our country. I hope you and all of us will continue to use this energy and passion to fight for important causes everywhere. Alma 1:25-30
I too, must add to the comments. I am so proud to call you my brother, for all your work and all you have done. Amidst all the hate and evil that surrounded this vote there was goodness spread. Thank-you.
Of course the No on 8 campaign would be sore losers:
