ODE TO OUR HOME!
I would like to take this chance to say good-bye to our wonderful, well worn and beloved brown house in Naperville. It is a momentous day as mom and dad have finally passed on the keys and driven away, but I am sure that as they have done so with a feeling of love and appreciation for our little house that has served us so well. I for one love our house at 840 ~ it is where we grew up! It was the home to two faithful doggies and many other friends and ward members that spent so much time there. I think of all the Christmases, birthdays, school projects, family dinners, summer nights and snow days, dates, fights (haha), time spent together. I love that house. I thank especially mom and dad for raising us in a home so full of love and of peace and spirit - they couldn't have picked a better spot! At the risk of being overly cheesly I will stop. But I couldn't let this day just slip away unnoticed. I invite other comments! And I also tell mom and dad how anxiously we and so many others await them in this new chapter of their lives!! We love you mom and dad. Drive safe!!

i love that house. not really aesthetically (although the paint change of 2000? when was that? well it made a big difference) but in all that an object or place can signify. Summer nights were great, hiding in our closet, picking through the costumes downstairs and up in the attic, and Christmas. Those are only a few of my fond memories. Now lets create some new ones in the new house! woo
Lib you beat me to this post. I want to pic up some good house pictures soon in honor of 840. What a wonderful house on the prairie it was for us! A house full of love.....Mommy was such a good homemaker. She and Dad loved and welcomed so many people.
Too tender to comment...love mom
