Looks like Wynn is loving this family blog

So here is something for everyone to comment on. should this quote bother me?

Boyd K. Packer (Unpublished talk, October 1, 1970 Church Relief SocietyConference)"It is interesting to know how man is put together- how incomplete heis. His whole physical and emotional, and for that matter, spiritual nature,is formed in such a way that it depends upon a source of encouragement andpower that is found in a woman. When man has found his wife and companion,he has in a sense found the other half of himself. He will return to heragain and again for that regeneration that exalts his manhood andstrengthens him for the testing that life will give him. A woman has theprivilege and influence to transform a man into an able and effect LDSpriesthood leader. However, for this there are two prerequisites. First, shemust want to, and second, she must know how. Part of knowing how includesthe genius of encouraging him to meet his obligations without replacing himin his role, without presiding over him."

Feel free to convince me otherwise. love wynn

Okay Wynn, this will make a lot more sense to you when you are married, that is all I can say. I think this is a beautiful quote, it's all true to me and it is wonderful how he captured those feelings in words. Try to see this quote in the manner it is intended. If it really rubs you wrong still, pray for the Spirit's guidance. The Holy Ghost will provide answers a lot better for you than any of us can. I am so glad you are putting stuff up for discussion on the blog. Yes!!!

I agree with Em, and Wynn all I can say is learn this EARLY in your marriage and learn HOW to do this well. That is the secret. In essence it is the sort of the same concept as we viewed in My Greek Wedding where the mom said the man may be the head but the woman is the neck that turns the head. In a good way that is. OK that is my take. love, mom
